Mr Tim Griffin OAM FCILT (UK)

Tim Griffin has had a long association within the not for profit and commercial sectors and regional Queensland.

He brings critical thinking, a passion for the community, and formal company directorship expertise – as a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course diploma (2001) and a former Fellow (FAICD) – to this role as Chairperson of the Board of Advice. He is a Chartered Fellow on the Institute of Transport & Logistics (FCILT) in the United Kingdom (UK).

Tim has served as a non-executive director on a number of boards including two terms as Chairperson and National President of Professionals Australia (formerly APESMA), Chifley Business School, Re-Engineering Australia Advisory Board, and as a community member of the seven person Capricorn Regional Electricity Council (2001-2005).

Tim is a Life Member of Rockhampton’s second oldest tennis club-Cressy, along with serving 10 years as its Chair and President (1996-2006). He was born and educated in Rockhampton (Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Masters of Business Administration) and has lived in Central Queensland for the majority of his nearly 30 year career.

He completed his second, four year term as a governance council member for CQ University – Australia (2006 – 2014).

Tim was awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) in the General Division in 2007, in particular recognition of his worthy service to the Engineering Profession and regional Queensland.
